Kirangari Boys Secondary School, hailing from the Central Region, returns to the Nationals following their triumphant appearance in 2023, where they clinched the title by defeating Kiaga Secondary School 4-0 in the finals at Kagumo High School in Nyeri County. This year, they aim to defend their crown as the sole returning team.

Musingu School from Western Kenya, under the leadership of coach Brendan Mwinamo, who previously led Kakamega School to titles in 2017 and 2018, is among the fierce contenders. The team, captained by Anan Okumu, brother of Harambee Stars defender Joseph Okumu, faces high expectations despite a controversial semi-final match where fans stormed the field.
