How to Join Super Metro Sacco as a Matatu Owner – Full Requirements
Super Metro Sacco was co-founded in 2013 by Nelson Mwangi alongside other directors. Over the years, it has transformed Nairobi’s public transport system, earning recognition for its structured and organized operations.
Since its establishment, Mwangi has served as the chairman, playing a crucial role in the Sacco’s success. According to a report by Business Daily, the founders established Super Metro to bring order to the often chaotic matatu industry.
“Most drivers feel Super Metro is a school because of the rules and regulations. Drivers and conductors make an application, they bring all requirements, and we set a date for an interview. We don’t just handpick them. They must have all the requirements,” Mwangi explained.
