Two Female Students Die in Tragic Campus Gate Accident
The Chuka University community is reeling from the tragic loss of two female students, Cynthia Ochoi and her close friend, Felly, who were involved in a devastating accident just outside the university gates.
The incident claimed Felly’s life instantly, while Cynthia sustained severe injuries, leaving the entire student body in shock and grief.
This heartbreaking incident sparked a wave of protests, with students flooding the streets to voice their frustration over what they describe as “rampant and preventable deaths” among their peers, which they claim have gone without any substantial action.
In emotional footage shared on social media, the comrades are seen gathering to honor their fallen friends during a solemn university event.
Expressions of grief poured in from fellow students and sympathizers online. Among the condolences, Ann Karanja wrote, “Rest easy, comrades,” while Sirlie Ngugi pleaded, “God protect our children wherever they are.
In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray.” Another user, known as User114, shared, “Rest in peace, my fellow students Felly and Cynthia,” and Jacobian added, “May their souls rest in peace.”
The tragedy has reignited calls for enhanced road safety measures around the campus, with students urging authorities to prioritize the security of pedestrians along this dangerous stretch.
The community now waits, hoping these voices of sorrow and outrage will lead to meaningful change, ensuring no more lives are lost in such a manner.
