Trump Claims Biden’s 2024 Withdrawal Was a Forced Coup
In a startling declaration, US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has claimed that President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 election campaign was the result of a coup.
Speaking in an interview with Fox Business, Trump stated, “It was actually a coup of a president if you think of it. He has got 14 million votes. He campaigned for a year and he ended up winning and they threw him out.
They said: either you get out now or we’re going to get you out in the hard way. They said: there’s an easy way and there’s a hard way, Joe, and you’ll get out. And he got out and they put this woman [US Vice President Kamala Harris], who is a failed candidate.”
The US presidential election, scheduled for November 5, is heating up with this dramatic turn of events.
Biden, who initially led the Democratic ticket, faced mounting pressure to withdraw following a lackluster debate performance against Trump on June 27. As criticisms within his own party grew,
Biden ultimately decided to exit the race on July 21, endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor for the Democratic nomination.
