Sunday Blackouts Areas KPLC Confirms
Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions across four counties on Sunday, November 10, due to planned maintenance. Residents and businesses in parts of Nairobi, Kakamega, Kisumu, and Kiambu will face blackouts lasting between six to eight hours.
In Nairobi County, power outages will affect Rangwe area from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The blackout will impact Rangwe Road, Paperplast Limited, Royal Swiss Bakery, Kay Lift Services, Rangwe Close, Chandaria Industries, Jojo Tanks, and Trans Africa Paper Mills, along with other nearby customers. Additionally, the entirety of Kampala Road will experience outages during the same hours. Affected establishments include ABM, Breweries Malting, Kamongo, Ketepa, Chloride Exide, Dodhia Packaging, Ryce East Africa, Nairobi Water and Sewerage, UDV, and Kenya Marbles.
In Kakamega County, residents of Matawa Market will experience power outages from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The blackout will impact Matawa Market, Matawa Village, Ebukamba, Lureko Complex, Matawa Health Center, and Lureko Industrial Park, as well as surrounding areas.
Kisumu County will see power disruptions in Milimani and Kano areas. Milimani, including Royal Swiss Hotel, Milimani Shopping Centre, American Embassy, and Nightingale Hospital, will lose power from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Kano area, covering Nyamasaria, Ragumo, Kadete, Nyangande, Ahero Market, and Trida Factories, will also be affected during the same hours.
In Kiambu County, power outages from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. will impact areas such as Kiandutu, Kiandutu Health Centre, Kahawa Bora, Jungle Nut, Chania Feeds, Broadway Juca Workshop, Kevian Industries, Ken Blest, MRM, Polysack, St. Mulumba Hospital, Ben Med, KVM, and parts of Capwell.
Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to plan accordingly to minimize the inconvenience during these scheduled maintenance hours.
