Shocking ; Man Arrested for Fatally Stabbing Pregnant Wife in Marsabit
Police in Badassa village, Saku, Marsabit County, are investigating a harrowing case where a man allegedly stabbed his pregnant wife to death during a domestic altercation.
The suspect, identified as Halakhe Dida Dulacha, reportedly attacked his wife on Monday night using a knife, leaving her fatally injured.
Marsabit Assistant County Commissioner David Saruni confirmed the arrest, noting that Dulacha is in custody at Marsabit Police Station, where he is being interrogated. Saruni revealed that the couple had a history of frequent physical conflicts.
“He fatally stabbed her using a knife. The couple had a long history of domestic violence. The deceased was a mother of four,” Saruni told Citizen Digital.
In the wake of the tragedy, Saruni urged community members to adopt peaceful ways of resolving conflicts, emphasizing the need to seek professional or community guidance on family issues.
“I call upon the local community to seek guidance on marital issues to prevent such unfortunate incidents in the future,” he said.
This incident follows another shocking case in the region, where four family members were arrested last week in Dololo Boji village, Dukana, for allegedly killing newborn twins.
