Shocking As ;Woman Dies After Jumping From the 19th Floor of View Park Tower
Tragedy struck in Nairobi’s central business district on Wednesday, November 6, when a 45-year-old woman, identified as Charity Muthoni, reportedly died by suicide after leaping from the 19th floor of View Park Towers, located near Uhuru Highway.
According to a police report seen by Citizen Digital, Muthoni had visited her friend, Benjamin Kibet, earlier in the afternoon. Kibet, who operates a printing business on the ground floor of the building, welcomed her, and the two shared a cup of tea while chatting until approximately 3:45 p.m. At that point, Muthoni excused herself, telling Kibet she needed to attend to an urgent matter.
Moments later, Kibet received a chilling text message from Muthoni, revealing her intention to end her life by jumping from the building’s 19th floor. Witnesses observed her leaving behind her shoes, jacket, and mobile phone on the rooftop before making the fatal leap.
Muthoni fell onto a tent set up on the ground floor, where she tragically succumbed to her injuries. Bystanders immediately alerted the authorities, who quickly arrived at the scene to document the incident and transport her body to the city mortuary.
As investigations continue, police report that Muthoni’s reasons for choosing to end her life remain unclear.
