Shocking As ;Man Kills Wife Over Motorcycle Sale, Injures Daughter
Chebukaka Village in Kabuchai, Bungoma County, is in shock and mourning after a domestic dispute turned deadly, leaving a woman dead and her daughter injured. The tragic event unfolded after a man allegedly searched for his wife overnight, only to ambush and fatally stab her the following morning.
According to reports from the villagers, the suspect had been looking for his wife late into the night but was unable to access the house as the door was locked. Determined to confront her, he waited until the morning when the children had gone to school.
The confrontation stemmed from the sale of a motorbike, which the husband claimed his wife sold without his consent, sparking the violent attack.
The suspect, after hiding in a nearby banana plantation, ambushed the woman as she was brushing her teeth outside the house. In a desperate attempt to save her mother, one of the woman’s five children, a young girl, was also stabbed by the attacker but survived the ordeal.
The suspect then attempted to take his own life, but his efforts failed, and he was later rushed to Bungoma Referral Hospital for treatment.
Eyewitnesses, including local resident Japhret Watima, expressed their horror at the scene, with one witness recounting how they found the woman in her final moments. Local authorities have urged the community to remain calm as investigations into the brutal murder are underway.
The victim’s body is currently at the Bungoma Referral Hospital morgue, with funeral arrangements in progress. Meanwhile, the stabbed girl has been discharged from the hospital and is recuperating at home, while her siblings and the entire village are left grappling with the trauma of this tragic loss.
