Sad As ; 3 Children Die in House Fire as Mother was Away at Work
Three young children, aged between one and eight, lost their lives in a devastating house fire in Yamumbi Estate on the outskirts of Eldoret town.
According to initial reports, the children were left alone at home while their mother had gone to work.
The fire broke out during the night, and despite neighbours’ desperate efforts to rescue them, their attempts were unsuccessful.
Onesmus Githinji, the children’s grandfather, shared that he had checked on the children around 11:30 p.m. to ensure they were asleep before returning to his own home.
He later received a heart-wrenching call informing him of the tragedy.
Kapseret Subcounty Police Commander Zephania Kamuren confirmed the incident, adding that investigations are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire
