Radio Presenter Kamene Goro Shares Painful Journey of Knee Injuries and Surgeries
Popular radio presenter Kamene Goro has recently been seen wearing a knee brace, prompting curiosity and concern among her fans. The reason behind her condition was finally revealed during her appearance on Size 8 and DJ Mo’s show, where she opened up about her ongoing struggle with a severe knee injury.
“I can’t stand for long; I have a problematic knee,” Kamene explained. She shared that the issue dates back five years when she first suffered a meniscus tear. Describing the injury, Kamene said, “It’s a small piece of the knee, like mafupa ya maskio, that tore inside my knee. I had my first surgery then.”
Unfortunately, the initial surgery was not the end of her troubles. Just four weeks later, Kamene had to undergo a second surgery after the meniscus tore again. Despite these interventions, her knee problems persisted. Last year, while out of town, Kamene experienced another tear, which she described as the most excruciating pain she had ever felt.
In January of this year, Kamene underwent yet another surgery. “I went to the hospital on Tuesday, had the surgery on Wednesday, and left the hospital on Saturday,” she recounted. The recovery process was grueling; she couldn’t walk for two months and had to relearn to walk, coinciding with her birthday.
Kamene’s candid account highlights the severe impact her knee injuries have had on her life. Her resilience and determination to recover are commendable, and her fans are undoubtedly rooting for her. We extend our best wishes for her speedy recovery and hope to see her back on her feet soon.
