PS Kisiang’ani Defends Ruto’s Leadership, Urges Kenyans to Support Development Agenda
The Principal Secretary for the State Department of Broadcasting and Telecommunications, Prof. Edward Kisiang’ani, has urged Kenyans to rally behind President William Ruto, lauding his leadership and dedication to steering the country towards prosperity.
Speaking on KBC Channel 1’s The Shift on Tuesday, Kisiang’ani emphasized the transformative nature of Ruto’s administration. “What the President is doing is a game-changer. He is addressing issues that have plagued this nation since independence. Once implemented, these initiatives will bring significant change,” he stated.
The PS also dismissed recent polls suggesting Kenyans are dissatisfied with Ruto’s administration, questioning their methodology and accuracy. “We must interrogate the authenticity of such surveys. Are they conducted objectively, with appropriate sample sizes and unbiased questions? I don’t think they fully reflect reality,” he argued.
Kisiang’ani rated the government’s performance at 8 out of 10, citing resilience and commitment to fulfilling campaign promises. He praised the administration’s efforts in development and stabilization despite challenges, urging citizens to responsibly exercise their democratic rights while supporting the government’s agenda.
“Criticism is welcome, but let us ensure it is constructive. We must unite to achieve the President’s vision for Kenya,” he said.
The PS further called for responsible use of digital platforms, highlighting the need to uphold democracy while adhering to societal rules. “Freedom comes with responsibility. Let us use the internet to build, not destroy,” he added.
Accompanied by Eng. John Tonui, his counterpart from the State Department for ICT and Digital Economy, Kisiang’ani reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to enhancing citizens’ lives through robust development initiatives.
