Preacher Ng’ang’a Under Fire for Mocking Women’s Attractiveness
Controversial preacher Pastor James Ng’ang’a has ignited widespread condemnation following his disturbing comments during a Sunday service on January 19. Known for his contentious sermons, the Neno Evangelism Centre founder appeared to mock women obsessed with beauty enhancements, making appalling remarks about attractiveness and rape.
“You spend hours beautifying yourself, yet no one even notices. Women are being raped, but you can’t even find someone to do that to you,” Ng’ang’a shockingly said to his congregation, which appeared unusually silent. He further ridiculed women, suggesting that being raped would validate their attractiveness, stating, “It would be better if you were raped… but no one even considers it.”
The undated video quickly circulated online, sparking a massive backlash. Social media users expressed outrage, with many calling for Ng’ang’a’s arrest.
X user Natasha decried the remarks, stating, “Women in Kenya are in hell. Patriarchy is so embedded in society. At some point, it’s hard to see if the Kenyan man is salvageable.”
Another user, identifying as a rape survivor, wrote, “This is not just inappropriate! It’s deeply disturbing and triggering. Rape is not a joke!”
Others lamented the silence of Ng’ang’a’s female congregants. “His wife and female members sat there and said nothing. It’s disgusting,” one comment read.
Pastor Ng’ang’a is no stranger to controversy, often using offensive language in sermons. He has previously made sexist remarks, including insinuations about being involved with critics’ mothers.
The latest incident has reignited debates about his unchecked behavior and the misuse of religious platforms to demean and humiliate.
