Notice //// Wanted Notorious Suspect for Kware Killings
Law enforcement is intensifying the search for Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, the primary suspect in the horrific Kware massacre that claimed the lives of 42 women. Jumaisi has been on the run for over two months after a brazen escape from Gigiri Police Station on August 20, 2024, where he, along with 12 other suspects, cut through a wire mesh to break free.
With the investigation at a standstill 69 days after his escape, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has issued a public appeal, encouraging Kenyans to report any leads on Jumaisi’s whereabouts.
In a bid to expedite his capture, DCI has announced a cash reward for any reliable information, though the exact amount remains undisclosed. This appeal marks one of the most aggressive manhunts in recent Kenyan history, as police mobilize nationwide resources to apprehend the fugitive.
“Should you have any information regarding Collins Jumaisi Khalusha’s location, please contact us through the #FichuaKwaDCI hotline at 0800722203 or dial emergency lines 999, 911, and 112. Information can also be submitted in person at any police station across the country,” the DCI’s post read, underscoring the urgency of the situation and the importance of public cooperation.
Jumaisi, who allegedly confessed to the murders, including the killing of his wife, initially admitted to the crime before his attorney, John Maina Ndegwa, argued in court that his confession was coerced through torture. “My client has faced horrific treatment, pushed to admit to actions foreign to him,” Ndegwa claimed, requesting urgent medical care for Jumaisi.
As public concern grows over the unresolved massacre, authorities are under pressure to secure Jumaisi’s capture and deliver justice to the families affected by the Kware tragedy. Any tip, they emphasize, could be pivotal in closing one of the most gruesome murder cases in Kenya’s recent history.
