NOTICE /// Opens Scholarship Slots for Kenyan Medical Students
The Ministry of Health has officially invited Kenyan medical aspirants to apply for foreign scholarships offered by the Government of Bangladesh. The scholarships, announced on Monday, aim to admit successful applicants to various government and private medical and dental institutions for the 2024-2025 academic year.
According to a statement from the Ministry, the program is a collaboration with Bangladesh’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, facilitated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Affairs.
“In this connection, they have announced admission for foreign students in Bangladesh Government Medical and Dental Colleges for the academic year 2024-2025,” read part of the notice.
Slots and Distribution
A total of 221 slots have been allocated for foreign students, of which 117 are reserved for South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries. Additionally, five slots are part of Bangladesh’s Scholarship Program, leaving 99 slots available for Kenyans under this scheme.
Beyond public institutions, the notice highlights that opportunities also exist for Kenyan students in private medical and dental colleges in Bangladesh.
Application Process
The Ministry of Health has outlined specific steps for prospective applicants:
- Applications should be submitted through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Affairs.
- Required documents include academic records and other relevant certificates.
Applicants interested in non-government medical or dental colleges must submit their applications online via the designated platform.

The deadline for applications is March 15, 2024.
