Safaricom Warns Customers of Overnight Service Interruption to Affect Top-Up and Okoa Jahazi Services Tonight
Safaricom has announced that it will temporarily halt airtime top-up, Okoa Jahazi, bundle purchases, and other related services starting at 10:00 p.m. tonight due to scheduled systems maintenance. According to the telecom giant, the service interruption will last until 5:00 a.m., impacting essential services like Sambaza and Bonga point redemptions.
The company has issued a notice alerting customers to potential disruptions in all top-up services, including airtime purchases, Okoa Jahazi, and bundle top-ups conducted through M-Pesa. “During this period, you may experience an interruption in the following services: all top-up airtime services, Okoa Jahazi services, and all bundle purchases via airtime and M-Pesa,” Safaricom stated in its advisory.
Safaricom reassured customers that all other services would remain available throughout the maintenance period, including voice calls and internet access. “Other than for the services listed above, all other services will remain available. We apologize for the inconvenience,” added Safaricom.
