Mother and Daughters Found Murdered Across Nairobi and Machakos
A family in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area is grappling with heartbreak and demanding justice after a mother and her two daughters were discovered murdered in separate locations. The three, who disappeared on Monday, were found dead in Bahati, Parklands, and Machakos, all with similar, gruesome injuries.
The tragic chain of events began when Amina Abdirashid Dahir (22) and her younger sister, Nusuiba Dahir (11), left their home at around 5:30 PM on Monday evening to search for their mother, Warifu, who had gone out for a skin treatment in Eastleigh and had not returned or communicated. Disturbing CCTV footage obtained by Citizen TV shows the two girls making a phone call before being seen getting into a car. That was the last time they were seen alive.
The following day, their bodies were found dumped in different locations—Amina in Parklands and Nusuiba in Bahati. In a horrifying twist, their mother’s lifeless body was later discovered in the bush in Machakos, killed in a similar fashion, raising suspicions that the same person may be behind the three murders. The family is calling for swift investigations to uncover the person responsible for these heinous acts.
Sumeya Noor, a cousin of the victims, shared the family’s disbelief and agony, stating that the two girls went out to look for their mother, only for all three of them to meet the same tragic fate.
In a separate but equally heartbreaking case, the family of 24-year-old Christine Nyakio, who had gone missing last Friday in Ngong, is also mourning after her body was found dumped in a swamp in Kajiado County. According to her sister, Nyakio had been forced out of her home by a man last Thursday and hadn’t been seen since.
Both families are now urging authorities to act swiftly and bring those responsible to justice, with the pain of these brutal killings hanging heavy over their hearts.
