Ministry of Labour Tenders: Youth, Women, and Disabled Encouraged to Apply
The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, via its State Department for Labour and Skills Development, is seeking applications from qualified companies to handle cleaning and security guard duties.
A notice in the government’s MyGov publication on Tuesday stated that the contracts will last for the next three financial years.
The cleaning services tender, numbered ML&SP/SDL&SD/OT/001/2024-2025-2026/2027, does not require a bid security deposit and is exclusively for youth, women, and people with disabilities.
The security guard services tender, open to all, requires a Ksh100,000 security bid. Interested companies should submit their bids for these crucial services.
The tender documents are available for free download on the government tender portal and the State Department’s website. These documents list the specific requirements companies must meet to be considered for the contracts.
A mandatory pre-tender site visit is scheduled for Friday, March 21, at 10 am. It will be held in the conference room on the 7th floor of the NSSF Building, Block A, Eastern Wing.
This visit is necessary for bidders to see the facilities and understand the work involved. More instructions will be given during the visit.
Companies that download the tender documents must register their details, including their name, postal and physical addresses, email, and phone numbers.
Registration should be done through the Head of Supply Chain Management’s office at procurement@labour.go.ke before the deadline.
The deadline for submitting bids is March 28.
The ministry stressed that bidders must stick to the submission deadline to avoid being disqualified.
