MCA Arrested for Organ Trafficking Allegations Following Brutal Killing
Police in Kapsabet have arrested former nominated MCA Carren Atieno Muga, linking her to a suspected organ trafficking operation.
This follows the brutal murder of Enock Kipsang in Chemase, Nandi County, where he was beheaded, and his private parts mutilated.
According to the National Police Service (NPS), Carren is the mother of a key suspect implicated in Kipsang’s murder. She was apprehended along the Chemelil-Miwani-Kisumu road while attempting to flee her residence amid threats of mob justice from enraged locals. Her vehicle has since been impounded at the Kapsabet Police Station.
Authorities have launched a manhunt for additional suspects still at large.
This incident follows an earlier escalation where members of the public stormed Chemase Police Post, freed another murder suspect, and lynched him before burning his body.
The suspect, Victor Kimutai, 30, had reportedly confessed to Kipsang’s murder and led investigators to the location of the victim’s severed head and other body parts.
Tinderet Police Commander Johnson Mwariga confirmed the confession and recovery of evidence. Additionally, NPS revealed that flags stolen during the mob invasion were later retrieved at Chepswerta Market by officers on patrol
