Man Dies in Alleged Stabbed 27 Times by Girlfriend in Ruiru
The family of Conrad Nyabuto, who was brutally murdered in Ruiru, Kiambu County, is calling for justice, alleging minimal action against the main suspect despite compelling evidence.
Conrad, the third-born in a family of five, met his tragic end after being stabbed 27 times, reportedly by his estranged girlfriend, Salome Wanjiru. According to the family, Conrad had traveled to Kamakis to resolve personal issues with Wanjiru, unaware it would lead to his death. They believe excessive bleeding from the multiple stab wounds caused his untimely demise.
The incident, recorded at Gatongora Police Station on December 17, 2024, has left the family devastated. They claim that despite the seriousness of the crime, the suspect is yet to face significant legal consequences.
“We are in pain and need answers. Our son’s life was cut short, yet justice seems elusive,” said Conrad’s father, speaking from their home in Nairobi’s Saika Estate.
The suspect, Salome Wanjiru, is expected to take a plea at the Thika High Court on Thursday, marking a critical step in the case. The family remains hopeful that the court process will bring them closure and justice for their slain loved one.
