Kisumu Youth’s Mob Justice Stopped by Police as 750 Kenyan IDs Discovered in Raid
A 20-year-old man narrowly escaped an angry mob in Kisumu County after being accused of theft, thanks to swift intervention by Migosi Police Station officers.
Identified as Adam Rajab Abdalla, the young Nubian man was cornered by an agitated group of local youth who suspected him of robbery and attempted to take matters into their own hands.
The Sierra police unit, who were nearby, noticed the escalating situation and rushed to defuse the tension.
Officers managed to pull Abdalla from the frenzied crowd and secured him in his home, where they discovered an astonishing collection of items.
The most shocking find was a stack of 750 Kenyan IDs, raising suspicions about potential illegal activities.
Besides the IDs, officers also recovered several household items and potential weapons from his residence. Among the items seized were a 32-inch television, a cooker, eight pairs of scissors, a toy gun, a mattress, and a cooler box. Officers also discovered two empty crates of soda, four makeshift weapons, a sack of Irish potatoes, four kitchen knives, and three assorted screwdrivers.
“The suspect is being held in custody,” the police report confirmed, as investigations continue into the purpose and origin of the IDs and other recovered items.
