Kiambu Student Perishes in Tragic Home Fire
A tragic fire incident in the Sigona area of Kiambu County claimed the life of Daniel Onsarigo, a Form One student from St. Patrick Kitui Secondary School.
Onsarigo, who was on sick leave and alone at home, was found dead after a fire razed the iron-sheet structures, including the one he was in, on July 28. Emergency services from Kikuyu managed to control the blaze, but the cause of the fire remains unknown.
The police are conducting investigations, and Onsarigo’s body has been moved to Chiromo Mortuary for an autopsy.
In a separate incident, detectives are investigating the death of Didier Njoroge, who died after falling onto a broken bottle during an altercation in Karabaini village, also in Kiambu County.
The incident occurred on July 28, and witnesses report that Njoroge sustained a fatal neck injury. The case is under police investigation, with a broken bottle kept as evidence.
