Kasmuel Rebukes Wamuchomba After Osoro Meeting Controversy
Political activist Kasmuel McOure has fired back at Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba after she made a controversial remark about his recent meeting with National Assembly Majority Whip Sylvanus Osoro.
Wamuchomba shared a picture of Kasmuel and Osoro on her X (formerly Twitter) account, cheekily implying that political ‘spirits’ might be transferred between them. “My Son Kasamueri (Kasmuel), some spirits are transferable, lol,” the MP wrote.
In a sharp rebuttal, Kasmuel reminded Wamuchomba that she was elected on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket, questioning whether the ‘spirits’ of her party were not also transferable. He urged her to live up to her leadership role instead of making light of serious political issues.
“You were elected under Ruto’s party. Weren’t spirits transferable then? You want me to die on the streets when I can tell you the truth in person? If you did the right thing, I wouldn’t need to be protesting. You’re the leader here. Act like one!” Kasmuel fired back.
This exchange follows the release of viral photos of Kasmuel’s meeting with Osoro, which sparked heated reactions online, with some questioning his activism. However, Kasmuel explained that this was the first time he had met the Majority Whip and used the opportunity to voice his grievances regarding the government’s failures.
“It was my first time meeting Osoro, and I made sure to tell him face-to-face what I’ve been saying online: this government has failed us. From extrajudicial killings to broken promises and a lack of accountability, the system is broken,” Kasmuel asserted.
He added that while they disagreed on many issues, they did find common ground on a few. However, Kasmuel remained steadfast, emphasizing that he would never miss a chance to speak truth to power
