Job-Seeking Opportunity for Kenyans Eyeing Germany
Kenyans looking to explore job opportunities in Germany, following President William Ruto’s recent negotiations, now have clear pathways to pursue. Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary (PS) Roseline Njogu, during a KTN News interview on September 18, outlined several key platforms where Kenyans can access employment opportunities in Germany.
The main website, make-it-in-germany.com, managed by the German government, offers thousands of job listings across various sectors.
As of the time of reporting, there were over 21,000 job vacancies posted, with opportunities spanning diverse fields. The website also provides essential information on living in Germany, visa processes, vocational training, and tips for integrating into the German workforce.
In addition to make-it-in-germany.com, Njogu mentioned other platforms like deutschland.de, which gives prospective job seekers access to testimonials from foreigners already working in Germany. This site helps users navigate the complexities of moving abroad, providing first-hand accounts and tips for success.
Another valuable resource is hub4africa.bayern, a site designed to assist Africans in exploring various career paths, entrepreneurship, vocational education, and training for professionals. This platform supports individuals at different stages of their career journey, whether they’re exploring options or looking to expand their expertise.
PS Njogu also advised Kenyans to not limit their job search to these platforms alone. Traditional job-seeking sites like LinkedIn and recruitment services, either in Germany or locally via the National Employment Authority (NEA) website, can also be instrumental in securing a position.
While more region-specific German websites are expected to be shared soon, Kenyans are encouraged to take proactive steps in navigating the available resources.
