Job Openings for Kenyans in Qatar as Govt Confirms 3-Day Interviews
The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has announced a significant employment opportunity for Kenyans seeking jobs in Qatar.
Labour Cabinet Secretary (CS) Alfred Mutua confirmed that a reputable Qatari company will conduct interviews in Nairobi from Friday, October 25, to Sunday, October 27. The positions available span various fields, including hospitality, construction, and technical sectors.
In the hospitality industry, positions such as nurses, chefs, waitresses, and kitchen helpers are among the roles up for grabs. Interviews for these roles will take place at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi.
For those skilled in construction and technical work, roles like electricians, masons, plumbers, and welders are available, with interviews and practical assessments scheduled at Kabete National Polytechnic.
To apply, candidates must present their CV, passport-sized photo, passport, and adhere to the dress code—black and white business attire or overalls where required.
CS Mutua assured the public that there would be no charges for interviews or consideration, and all travel requirements, including air tickets, will be provided free of charge upon hiring.
This recruitment comes amid Kenya’s ongoing negotiations to open over 200,000 job slots for skilled workers in Qatar, spanning sectors such as ICT, health, education, and agriculture.
As of now, approximately 67,000 Kenyans are employed in Qatar, and the number is expected to surge once a new Memorandum of Understanding is signed.
