How Miss Trudy Left Travel Behind and Built a $1 Million Airbnb Business
The well-known Kenyan travel enthusiast, Miss Trudy, has made a surprising return online with a revelation about her recent absence from the travel content scene. Fans have noticed a drop in her travel videos, and she’s now explained why.
“I’ve been missing in action. Life has been busy on my end, so I had to take a break,” she shared, addressing her absence.
In a candid video titled “How I Quit Travel and Made One Million in My First Year on Airbnb,” Miss Trudy detailed how her life has taken a new direction.
“I had to step away. There was no other way around it. But now, I’m back,” she said.
Instead of globe-trotting, Miss Trudy has been investing her energy in managing her Airbnb business, which has turned out to be a lucrative venture.
“I’ve been able to make money from it,” she revealed. “I just crossed one year on Airbnb, and it’s been an amazing experience.”
She proudly recounted her first booking, where a client paid $1,500 to stay at her Kilimani property for three months. “It was amazing; I was so happy,” she reminisced. Her second booking also fetched the same amount.
Despite facing some challenges along the way, Miss Trudy has achieved significant success. “I’ve been able to make over $9,000 in my first year on Airbnb. That’s not a bad investment,” she concluded
