“Advise Ruto to Step Down”: Kalonzo’s Bold Message to Police and Army
Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has unveiled plans to spearhead the formation of a powerful political coalition to challenge President William Ruto’s administration in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during a church service on Sunday, Kalonzo emphasized the necessity of bringing together diverse political forces under one unified alliance with a singular mission—winning the presidency.
Kalonzo also called on the nation’s security forces to be vigilant if anti-government protests escalate. “If the next maandamano comes to chase away the winds of lies, winds that mock the church… I urge the army and police—if things worsen, advise Ruto to step down,” he declared, hinting at the role security forces could play in addressing national crises.
Reflecting on global examples of regime change, Kalonzo stressed that Kenya must embrace transformation to ensure a brighter future.
His call to action resonated with Jubilee Party Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni and former Limuru MP Peter Mwathi, who pledged their unwavering support for the coalition.
Kioni and Mwathi highlighted their commitment to consolidating votes from the Mt. Kenya region, a critical battleground in Kenya’s political landscape.
Kioni underscored the significance of regional unity, labeling it as pivotal in the quest to challenge and ultimately dismantle Ruto’s grip on power.
