Abducted Youths Freed Reunite with Families As Cartoonist and Another Man Still Missing
Four young Kenyans who were abducted in December 2024 have finally reconnected with their families, bringing relief after weeks of anguish.
On Monday morning, the families of Billy Mwangi, Peter Muteti, Bernard Kavuli, and Rony Kiplangat confirmed that their loved ones had reached out to them.
Investigations by Citizen Digital revealed that Rony Kiplangat was found in Machakos County, while Bernard Kavuli, who had been taken from Ngong, was located in Kitale. Peter Muteti was discovered disoriented in Nairobi’s CBD, but his family reported that he is now recovering at home.
However, the fate of renowned cartoonist Kibet Bull remains uncertain. Kibet’s family disclosed that they have only heard from Rony Kiplangat, Kibet’s brother, who also went missing prior to the cartoonist’s abduction.
Another individual, Steve Mbisi, who has also been reported missing, has yet to be found.
Authorities have not provided further details about the abductions or the release of the recovered individuals.
