23-Year-Old Woman Killed After Alleged Sexual Assault
In yet another shocking case of gender-based violence, 23-year-old Seth Nyakio Njeri has tragically become the latest victim of a brutal crime against women.
Seth’s body was discovered on Monday at a rented house in Biafra, Thika, Kiambu County, sparking an intense investigation by authorities.
The young Zetech University graduate had left her family home in Kamakis on Saturday, full of life, engaging in conversations with her mother until Sunday.
But after that, all communication ceased. Concerned when her calls and messages went unanswered, Seth’s mother, Lucy Njeri, launched a search for her daughter, only to be met with silence.
The harrowing news came on Monday morning when a family friend called to inform them that Seth had been killed. Upon arrival at the crime scene, police discovered her naked body, showing signs of violent assault. “I saw visible injuries on her neck; it was horrific to witness,” her distraught mother told Citizen TV.
Preliminary investigations suggest Seth was strangled, and police suspect that she was sexually assaulted before her murder.
Authorities have turned their attention to a male friend who may have harbored resentment after the two parted ways. It is believed he tracked her down and ultimately committed the heinous act.
However, Seth’s family remains skeptical of this theory, instead pointing to another friend Seth had visited that weekend. Detectives are now questioning this friend to piece together the events leading to Seth’s untimely death.
The tragic incident underscores the growing concern over violence against women, with calls for justice and stronger protection measures intensifying across the nation.
